Key West

Sequoia and Kings Park

To be visited by car with stops in points of interest indicated in the map given at the entrance gate; there are many paths, but be careful to the bears. To sleep in the lodges in the park, need to book early. Visit: http://www.nps.gov/seki/index.htm

Death Valley

If you move from California to las Vegas, worths to pass via Death Valley: the largest depression of american territory. Info on: http://www.nps.gov/DEVA/index.htm
Two suggestions: refuel your car any rare gas station you find and have a water spare.

To live this incredibile city I suggest a concession to luxury of sumptuous Casinò hotels: you will be surprised for affordable rates expecially out of weekends. Clearly the convenience ends if you fall into temptation of bets, not easy task since slot machines are place everywhere.

At Luxor you can stay in e hughe pyramid of mirrors at competitive price:

http://www.claremonthotel.net/
If you are used to visit european cities, forget your way to be a tourist: this metroplois has to be dealed in another way: here always move via motorway to go everywhere, including downtown. If you no not have a car, rent it, use the roadmap only to find the motorway entrance to your hotel and the motorway exit nearest to your destination.
Distances are generally large: three main roads,
Hollywood Boulevard, Sunset Boulevard e Santa Monica Boulevard, are about 35 Km long each. Hotels are generally not expensive. I have been at Claremont at Westwood Village, close to the UCLA:http://www.claremonthotel.net/
good position close to Hollywood and to Santa Monica Boulevard going to the beaches.
Don't see LA only becaise you could be disappionted, but see also Santa Monica, Malibù, Venice Beach, Long Beach if you can.

San Francisco

A wonderful european city overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can think to get around at the european way, using feet and public transport as needed. Don't think european on the fact that sea mitigates the climate: even in summer it's a very coldest city then you can expect.
I do not suggest a specific place to stay, just one of many motels in Lombard Street, the same road terminating with the world's famousest zigzaz. In the higher part of this street you can find all the famousest motel chains at competitive prices.

New York

I have been there three times but never found a good accomodation: or too expensive or too bad! If you have something to suggest, please post it! Best area to stay is around Broadway close to Times Square: safe area also in the night, full of clubs, theathers and fun. Last time I stayed at Chelsea Star Hotel, good position in 300 West 30th St. 8th Avenue, New York

Miami

http://www.beachplazahotel.com/index.html
If you look fun and people, best period for Miami is the "spring break" (the first spring week). Mandatorily stay in South Beach: beaches, clubs and fun. Best accomodations at reasonable price and two steps away from Ocean Drive are on Collins Avenue. I have been at Beach Plaza:
http://www.beachplazahotel.com/index.html
The Friday and Saturday rate is higher than other days, but if you stay for several days, you can ask the lowest rate for all days (I did and got it).
